In 2005, the first Tools for Life Fair was held in Boise at the Doubletree Riverside Hotel.  It's hard to believe we just hosted the Third Annual Tools for Life Fair!  The Fair started as a way to bring agencies and personnel together who had the same goal in mind...to assist graduating students with disabilities and their families as they transitioned from school out into the world.  It is made possible through a collaboration between many Idaho state agencies that make up the Idaho Interagency Council on Secondary Transition, the Idaho State Department of Education, the Idaho Assistive Technology Project and the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Many people offer support to transitioning students as they move on in their lives.  That's why the Fair has always been perfect for Idaho Educators, Post Secondary Educators, therapists, counselors, service providers, job developers, and other rehabilitation specialists, and especially the students and their families.  As in past years, the event in 2007 included presentations by national and regional experts on issues surrounding secondary transition and assistive technology.  Keynote speakers, Brett Eastburn and Edie Bush, as well as special guest luncheon speaker, Mr. Tom Luna, and great vendors and agencies in the  Exhibit Hall helped make the 2007 Tools for Life Fair a great success!
